Wolf Pangloss's Fish Taco Stand

"But, reverend father," said Candide, "there is horrible evil in this world."

"What signifies it," said the Dervish, "whether there be evil or good? When his highness sends a ship to Egypt, does he trouble his head whether the mice on board are at their ease or not?"

"What, then, must we do?" said Pangloss.

"Hold your tongue," answered the Dervish.

Ready, Set, Go

It's time to start writing again. Expect it to start slowly but to be worthwhile when it gets going. In the meantime, I commented thus on The Belmont Club.

Wretchard had an excellent point about there being nobody there with open arms to take ex-Muslims in and give them a new "family," a new social and/or religious group to give them a sense of belonging and spiritual fulfilment instead of the shattering emptiness of a lonesome, atheist, Nietschean-ubermensch existence. While any Christian church would be glad to open its arms, only the most in-your-face fundamentalist churches would reach out and tell every future ex-Muslim about it. Personally I'd rather see them become Catholic.
Imagine it happening though. An ecumenical advertisement in various publications.
Dear Future Ex-Muslims,

You know that Jihad is a Death Cult. We both know the danger you are in if you leave Islam. But if you leave, at least you don't have to be alone, or settle for a world without God.

Jesus loves you, every one. Everyone can be redeemed.
Tasty.

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits.
